Annual HHSA Equitation Special Medal Finals

RSVP entries of qualified HHSA members will be accepted only until 9pm Thursday, October 2nd. NO ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THIS DEADLINE.

GENERAL INFORMATION 

Entry Fee: $50.00 per entry

Pre-entry is required by the posted deadline.
No entries will be accepted post deadline or the day-of. No exceptions.

The HHSA Medal Finals will consist of a jump course phase with a minimum of eight (8) fences with at least one change of direction at the rider's preferred jump height offered in the respective division. The judge will then select a minimum of eight (8) competitors who completed the jump course phase, if available, to return for an under saddle phase that will consist of judging at a walk, trot, and canter both ways of the ring. The eight (8) competitors may be tested further at the judge's discretion to determine final placings.

The same mount and tack must be used in all phases (i.e. saddle, bridle, bit, spurs, crop, etc). Martingales are permitted in the over fences phase, but prohibited in the under saddle phase.

The course will be open for walking to all riders prior the morning of Medal Finals prior to the start of the first division. There will be a posted order of go for each division. 

No horses or ponies are permitted in the ring prior to any of the Medal Final divisions! No exceptions!
QUALIFYING FOR MEDAL FINALS


In order to be eligible to participate in any of the year-end equitation Medal Finals, a rider must accumulate twelve (12) points in a respective special Medals qualifying class during the current competition year. Qualifying Medal classes held during the year shall be scored on a cumulative basis.

Riders do not need to ride the mount on which they qualified. However, all animals in order to compete in any of the HHSA Medal Finals, must be registered with HHSA.

Horses and ponies may only exhibit with one (1) rider at the equitation Medal Finals. Additionally, each rider is only eligible to ride in one (1) division at the year-end Medal Final.
