Points & Standings
Remember to keep a personal record of your points for all shows. Show management has up to 7 days to provide our Point Keeper with their official judges cards. Until those cards are received, we are unable to update points standings. Once received, the Point Keeper will post as soon as time permits.


Points from the four HHSA presented shows at the Bel Air Equestrian Center will be used to determine the recipients of the annual Benefit Show perpetual trophies.


In order to qualify for a year end award in any division, you must participate in three (3) HHSA pointed shows and earn a minimum collective ten (10) points in that particular division.


2024 year-end points became final two (2) weeks after the final show of the season on October 5, 2024.

POINT VALUES


1st  |  Blue  |  10 Points

2nd  |  Red  |  6 Points
3rd  |  Yellow  |  4 Points
4th  |  White  |  2 Points
5th  |  Pink  |  1 Point
6th  |  Green  |  1/2 Point

*Please note that there must be at least 3 entries in a class for full points to count towards year-end awards. In the event that there are only 2 entries in a class, the class may be held, but only half of the points' value will be awarded and count towards year-end awards.







MERITED DIVISIONS 


LEADLINE

For riders that accumulate a minimum of required points, they shall earn the following merit level:

 

20 points  |  Blue Merit

10 points  |  Red Merit
5 points  |  Yellow Merit
 

MINI STIRRUP & SHORT STIRRUP EQUITATION

For riders that accumulate a minimum of required points, they shall earn the following merit level: 

 
45 points  |  Blue Merit
20 points  |  Red Merit

 

LONG STIRRUP EQUITATION
For riders that accumulate a minimum of required points, they shall earn the following merit level: 

 
45 points  |  Blue Merit
30 points  |  Red Merit







HHSA MEDAL FINALS


 QUALIFICATIONS FOR HHSA SHORT STIRRUP MEDAL FINALS

To qualify for the opportunity to participate in the Short Stirrup Medal Finals, riders must accumulate 20 points ( Red Merit ) in the Short Stirrup Equitation division throughout the current show season.



 

QUALIFICATIONS FOR HHSA LONG STIRRUP MEDAL FINALS

To qualify for the opportunity to participate in the Short Stirrup Medal Finals, riders must accumulate 30 points ( Red Merit ) in the Long Stirrup Equitation division throughout the current show season.



 

QUALIFICATIONS FOR HHSA EQUITATION MEDAL FINALS

To qualify for the opportunity to participate in Harford Hunt Seat Child on a Pony, Harford Hunt Seat Child on a Horse, or USET Adult Amateur Medal, riders must accumulate a minimum of 12 points in HHSA Medal Classes offered at shows throughout the current season.
