RSVP entries of qualified HHSA members accepted only until 6pm Wednesday, September 18th. NO ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THIS DEADLINE.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Entry Fee: $50.00 per entry
Pre-entry is required by the posted deadline.
No entries will be accepted post deadline or the day-of. No exceptions.
The HHSA Merit Equitation Medal Finals will consist of a jump course phase with a minimum of six (6) fences not to exceed 18” in height. The judge will then select a minimum of eight (8) competitors who completed the jump course phase, if available, to return for an under saddle phase that will consist of judging at a walk, trot, and canter both ways of the ring before determining final placings.
The course will be open for walking to all riders prior to the start of the Short Stirrup Equitation Medal Final. There will also be a 15 minute course walk at the conclusion of the Short Stirrup Medal for the Long Stirrup Equitation Medal Final riders. Mounts will be permitted in the ring for hand walking ONLY during each respective course walk time. No schooling of the jumps will be permitted - no exceptions.
There will be a posted order of go for each division.
QUALIFYING FOR MERIT EQUITATION MEDAL FINALS
To qualify for the opportunity to participate in the Short Stirrup Equitation Medal Finals, HHSA member riders must accumulate a minimum of 20 points (earning a Red Merit) in the Short Stirrup Equitation division prior to the HHSA Annual Benefit Show.
To qualify for the opportunity to participate in the Long Stirrup Equitation Medal Finals, HHSA member riders must accumulate a minimum of 30 points (earning a Red Merit) in the Long Stirrup Equitation division prior to the HHSA Annual Benefit Show.
All animals, in order to compete in any of the HHSA Medal Finals, must be registered with HHSA.
Horses and ponies may only exhibit with one (1) rider at the Merit Equitation Medal Finals. Additionally, each rider will only be eligible to ride in one (1) division at the Merit Equitation Medal Finals.
